What happened

Paper-leak allegations dogged the re-held CGL exam taken by over 3 lakh candidates; an SIT and the CID arrested at least 10 people including 5 IRB jawans, but investigators found no physical evidence of an actual leak and concluded a gang extorted money from candidates in the name of a leak. Results were withheld from December 2024 until the Jharkhand High Court dismissed the CBI-probe plea and ordered release in December 2025.
