What happened

Solved JOA (IT) paper and Rs 2.5 lakh were seized in Hamirpur on 23 December 2022, matching the paper in the HPSSC strongroom; six were arrested initially including a secrecy-branch employee, and the exam was cancelled. The scandal led the state to suspend HPSSC (26 Dec 2022) and dissolve it on 21 February 2023, transferring recruitment to HPPSC.
